PFAS Containment Cell
Excavation, subgrade preparation and geosynthetics for a PFAS containment cell.
LMI excavated the cell, prepared the subgrade and installed the geosynthetics (GCL, XR5 membrane, protection geotextile and geocomposite). LMI placed 20,000 m³ of PFAS-contaminated material and installed the capping geosynthetics (GCL, black/white LLDPE, cushion geotextile and geocomposite), then placed the soil cover layer and constructed the perimeter drainage swale drains.
